Demystifying Faith is a show designed and hosted by Arlan Hamilton. Arlan is an investor, founder, author, professional speaker, and an atheist. This show is designed to find out what would happen when two people sit down to have open and honest conversations with other folks from all walks of life and various degrees of faith. Will preconceived notions be debunked or simply reconfirmed? Maybe a little bit of both? Let’s find out on Demystifying Faith.
Arlan Hamilton built a venture capital fund from the ground up, while homeless. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Backstage Capital, a fund that is dedicated to minimizing funding disparities in tech by investing in high-potential founders who are people of color, women, and/or LGBT.
Started from scratch in 2015, Backstage has now raised more than $20 million and invested in 200 startup companies led by underestimated founders. In 2018 Arlan became the first non-celebrity Black woman to grace the cover of Fast Company magazine, following Serena, Beyoncé, and Oprah.
